This is an AU Kyosuke Kiryu.

Sometime before his scheduled execution, Kiryu was chosen by lottery to undergo a radical new experiment. Based on his behavior before and during his incarceration he was diagnosed with schizophrenia by the medical arm of PSMB working with KaibaCorp., and transferred to a new facility where he has been undergoing what is being gently called 'Stabilization School' for 'unstable' convicts, in order to 'cure' them and allow them to reintegrate into society.

In reality, it's a program that takes both the mentally ill (which Kiryu falls under) and very sane but nevertheless dangerous convicts and subjects them to conditioning 'courses' almost tantamount to torture and EST, tests, drugs, rape, and implants which are used to reinforce conditioning, that suppress their personalities and turn them into unquestioning mindless drones. The belief is that it is better to suppress the mind, which supposedly made the criminals and the sick what they were, then to simply kill them and lose a valuable resource - that being physical manpower. Many of these people are taken to supervised facilities outside of Neo Domino City for backbreaking (but essentially free for the owners) labor, such as construction or farming, into Neo Domino City to work menial household jobs for the wealthy, or even back into Satellite to work on the machinery that keeps Neo Domino City alive. All of them, however, are at times contracted for sexual needs. Of course, there are far deeper things happening which the Facility's leader, Leiko Hardcastle, is keeping from nearly everyone - things no one save herself know.

In a twist of fate, among the other jobs he is made to do, one of Kiryu's 'duties' is as a launderer in the apartment of none other than Jack Atlas. However, he and Jack have not met, as Jack is almost always away on engagements during Kiryu's shifts there.

Also in this AU, Kiryu's actions caused the Security guard in question to die of head trauma soon after his arrest, as opposed to badly hurting him. This is why he was scheduled for execution to begin with.

After nearly nine months in the Dressing Room, Kiryu unexpectedly found himself pulled from the strange alternate universe, and back into his world. A week had passed since his departure, and Jack and Aki, among others, had been captured by the head of the Facility, Leiko Hardcastle. What was worse was that, because of their time in the Dressing Room, she had anticipated his return sans the chip and drug which tied him to her. Once she was certain he still had his free will, she ordered he be given a lobotomy, ensuring he always be at her side, and would never betray her again.

But by some miracle, Kiryu somehow woke up from the anasthesia, managed to escape the stunned surgeons, and ran off into the night. No one could find him, not even after Leiko presented evidence to Rex Godwin (by then obsolete, unknown to her) that Kiryu was the chosen Servant of the Giant and he put his best men on his trail. It was as if Kiryu had again simply vanished into thin air.

A year has passed since then. Somewhere out there is a man with a scar over his left eye, and a simmering desire for revenge. He remembers the Dressing Room, but doubts he'll return. Sometimes he even wonders, if it was nothing more than a hallucination.

That is, until he is returned to the Dressing Room...
